1) Which superstar needs to have the better series in order for their team to win: Curry or LeBron?

Kelley L Cox, Ken Blaze / USA TODAY Sports

Nick Hjeltness: As important as Curry is to the Warriors, the answer here is LeBron. Kevin Love is out, Varejao is likely out and Kyrie is banged up. Tristan, JR and co. are quality players, but it’s basically LeBron vs. everybody.

Angelo Mendoza: LeBron James will have to have a better series than Stephen Curry for the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the series. Not to come off sarcastic, but if Curry outplays James, then the Warriors will undoubtedly win the series. Easily.

Brendan Kennealy: LeBron must have a better series in order for their team to win. Curry has a tremendous (and healthy) supporting cast around him, while LeBron’s top two teammates are a) Out and b) Not 100 percent. LeBron must shoulder the load in order for Cleveland to win.

Marc Grandi: There is more pressure on LeBron James to perform as well as possible than there is on Stephen Curry, because the Warriors’ supporting cast is much deeper than the Cavaliers’. While James has performed at a high level in the postseason, he also has gotten more help than expected — especially after Kevin Love went down. Still, an over-achieving Cleveland bench is not as potent as Golden State’s on any given night.

Jamie Faue: Curry will need to play better in order for the Warriors to win the series. This is LeBron’s sixth go around in the Finals, so he already knows what it takes, whereas this is Curry’s first Finals so he will need to work harder to help his team succeed.
