Along with three-point efficiency, the Warriors bench also struggled with rebounding. Only three bench players in Lee, Iguodala, and Marreese Speights averaged more than three rebounds per game, with only Lee averaging more than five. Lee and Iguodala may not be on the team next year, and next season Speights will be 28 and in the last season of his contract.
Mickey, a 6’8″, 235-pound power forward, could come off the bench and be a rebounding force for the Warrior’s second unit.
Playing two years at LSU, Mickey averaged 14 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks per game. In his sophomore, and final, season, Mickey averaged, 15.4 PPG, 9.9 RPG, and 3.6 BPG.

What jumps off of the page is his rebounds and blocks numbers. His 9.9 rebounds per game ranked 18th in all of the NCAA. Out of all the players in front of him, only Rico Geathers out of Baylor played for a power conference. Mickey’s rebounding potential is legitimate, and could provide the Warriors with a spark on the boards off the bench.
What is even more impressive is his block totals. His 3.4 BPG ranked as the highest amongst any other player in the NCAA. The Warriors already have two All-Defensive players in Green and Andrew Bogut, and if Mickey keeps up his blocking prowess, the Warriors could have a third.
Pairing Mickey down low with Festus Ezeli could be a lethal combination off the bench for years to come.
