Del Rio Keeping The Team Focused
Distractions. They’re the last thing this Raiders’ team needed.
With so many young players trying to find their way and the fact that they have a new coaching staff trying trying to implement a new system, the last thing Oakland needed was the tsunami of controversy that’s washed over the team in recent days and has threatened to swamp the whole ship.
Distractions. With so much to learn, to do, and to install, the Raiders are not a team that can afford them.

Luckily for the Raiders, Jack Del Rio is their new head coach and he’s not about to let all of the relocation talk distract his new team from focusing on the task at hand – which is, preparing for the start of the 2015 season.
He said that he’s telling his team to tune out the noise surrounding the stadium flap, saying that they knew where they’re playing in 2015, period. He went on to say:
“We’re not naïve to know that there are things going on but, really, our focus is just on trying to be as good a football team as we can be. Inside these walls, it’s all about football, about competing, about learning the system and challenging each other and building a brotherhood, beginning to get that chemistry and that bond and all of that.”
With so many new faces, and a whole new system to learn and implement, the Raiders will need the ability to shut out the world beyond their locker room and focus on the task at hand. And it’s up to Del Rio to make sure they do.
