Amari Cooper Becomes Raiders’ First 1,000 Yard WR Since Randy Moss
It’s been a good, long while since Raiders’ fans have seen such a dynamic, explosive, and polished receiver wearing Silver and Black. A long, long time, in fact. Which is what makes Oakland’s selection of Amari Cooper fourth overall in the draft, such a fantastic pick. Cooper has created a buzz around the Raiders that is electric and not likely to die down any time soon.
Fans are insanely excited about the prospect of Cooper, widely considered to be the most polished and NFL-ready wide receivers in this year’s draft, pairing up with second year QB Derek Carr. The two young playmakers will be able to learn and grow together, to develop that rapport between QB and WR that is so essential – and no doubt, has the Raider Nation salivating at the thought that Carr to Cooper could be one of the most prolific offensive pairs in NFL history.

Whether they do in fact, become one of the league’s most prolific and dangerous and dynamic duos remains to be seen at this point. Both still have a lot work of to do to get themselves to that next level. But both are also tireless workers and will do everything they can to get on the same page, and become one of the most lethal QB/WR duos in the league.
It’s because of that, because of how dynamic Cooper really is, that he’s going to be an outstanding addition to the squad – and one of the most lethal elements in the offense. In fact, he is going to be one of the more lethal elements they’ve had in quite some time.
Cooper is going to make a huge impact on Oakland’s offense this season. And he will most definitely become the first Raiders’ wideout to top 1,000 receiving yards since Randy Moss all the way back in 2005.
