The Warriors and the Grizzlies played each other three times in the regular season, with the Warriors winning two out of the three games.
In the first meeting between these teams in the regular season, the Warriors went to Memphis on December 16th and lost the game 105-98. The Grizzlies ended the Warriors’ 16-game winning streak with this win. The Grizzlies’ bench carried them to this win and fueled them to score 20 straight points to start the second quarter, including 11 points from Vince Carter, who would finish the game with 16 points.

In the second meeting on March 27th, the Warriors, once again, traveled to Memphis, but this time they came out victorious. They won by a final score of 107-84, which gave them their 59th win on the season and which matched their franchise record for wins in a single season. Stephen Curry led the way with 38 points and 10 assists, and Klay Thompson added 28 points too.
In their final meeting of the regular season on April 13th, the Warriors faced the Grizzlies at Oracle Arena and won 111-107. The final score would suggest that this game was a close, competitive one, but the Warriors led the Grizzlies by 32 points at one point in the third quarter. The Warriors rested their starters once they built the lead, and the Grizzlies outscored the Warriors 41-18 in the fourth quarter to make this a much closer contest than it should have been.
In this game though, Thompson put on a show by scoring 26 of his 42 points in the second quarter. Thompson was the star in this game, but Curry was also able to put up 15 points and eight assists.
