With a new coaching staff, a host of new players, a new attitude, and a new culture, the Raiders desperately want – and need – to get 2015 started off on the right foot. They can accomplish that by beating the Bengals in their season – and home – opener.

The Bengals finished the 2014 regular season at 10-5-1, and earned a berth in the postseason – where they were promptly dispatched by the Indianapolis Colts.
It’s a tough opening draw for the Raiders – but then, with the seventh most difficult schedule in the league, did anybody think they’d get a cupcake to open the season? Or at any point during the season? But if Oakland can somehow come together, battle as a team, and beat back the Bengals, it would go a very long way toward building the confidence of a team filled with youngsters.
If Oakland gets off to a good start, and all of the young players play at a high level, there is no telling just how far this team can go. All we know at this point, is that the Raiders drew the Bengals in week one, and they have to prepare for them the same as any other team prepares for an opponent.
