One of the Kings biggest problems has been their inability to draft a player who will make a difference in their rotation. Since the 2001 draft, when their string of drafting within the top twelve began, they have only drafted one major award winner in Tyreke Evans, (Rookie of the Year in 2009), and only one All Star in Cousins.
Every other player drafted in the first round is either no longer on the team, or has played sparingly while on the team. Looking at past draftees illustrates the struggles the King’s franchise has had.
