Which player is the most key to the Giants’ success in 2015?

Phillip: A name that has been quiet this offseason is Brandon Crawford. That is your guy. He had the big grand slam in the 2014 wildcard game and stellar defense, but needs his bat to come around. With over 60 RBI’s in ’14, should contribute about the same and boost the bottom of the order.

Neil: Madison Bumgarner. With the uncertainty for how most of the starting rotation will perform and/or stay healthy, the Giants need Bumgarner to be the star he’s been.

Chris: Matt Cain. Cain had been one of the most reliable and durable pitchers in baseball before 2013 where i believe he tried to toughen out an elbow injury which just made things worse. Not only will he have to return to the rotation but he also is expected to be “The Horse” once again, pitching deep into games. With the final three rotation spots all being question marks, Cain and Bumgarner need to be as dominant as can be.

Marc: Matt Cain is the most important Giant. If he can pitch as well as he did in 2012 when he started the All-Star Game, San Francisco will once again have two legitimate aces at the front of their rotation, making their pitching staff that much more formidable. However, if Cain is unable to capture his previous magic the Giants may not be able to rely upon their pitching staff as much as they did in earlier years.

Sean: Angel Pagan. The Giants have proven they can win without him, but it’s also been proven they have a much easier time winning with him. Over the last two seasons, Giants are 23 games over .500 with Pagan starting, and 19 games under without him.
