What’s one bold prediction you have for the Giants, or for a particular player this year?

Phillip: My bold prediction is that Brandon Belt will hit more than 25 home runs this year. 27 to be precise. Belt has dealt with unfortunate injuries and slumps. With the power there, he looks ready for a breakout year after a strong finish to spring training.

Neil: If healthy, I think Brandon Belt will hit 30+ home runs. He’s shown he has the potential to do it, but I truly feel this will be a big breakout season for him.

  • Chris: Buster Posey will hit 30 home runs. He spent his offseason adding muscle, primarily to survive the wear and tear of being an everyday catcher, but also to provide more power to a lineup that lost Michael Morse and Pablo Sandoval. I believe that Posey will swing for the fence more often this year, especially when the team is slumping.

Marc: Brandon Belt will lead the Giants in home runs by hitting more than 25. He was well on his way to hit that many last season after a sizzling April but his season was knocked off course after taking a pitch to the hand against the Dodgers in Los Angeles. Belt will help anchor the Giants’ offense in Pence’s absence and the momentum he creates in that time will continue to carry him for much of the 2015 season.

Sean: Madison Bumgarner will throw his first career no-hitter. Against the Colorado Rockies. In Coors Field.
