As the San Francisco Giants prepare to defend their World Series championship again, they face a number of questions heading into the 2015 season. They’ve lost some firepower, and gained some new faces that will look to alleviate those losses. There are injuries, players returning from injuries, and players who are looking to bounce back after down seasons in 2014.

The Giants look to break the “odd-year curse”, ending the run of missing the postseason in the years following their World Series victories. The road will not be easy, as some of their division rivals, the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres completely overhauled their roster, and look, on paper, much improved. The Arizona Diamondbacks also added key pieces, and will look to return to the postseason. The Colorado Rockies, well, they still play half their games in the best hitter’s paradise in baseball.

Five of Golden Gate Sports’ writers answered some of the questions that surround the Giants as they prepare for their third title defense in five years.
