Raiders Will Trade For Adrian Peterson
This one seems like a no-brainer. Owner Mark Davis, when reports surfaced that the team was pursuing Greg Hardy, was crystal clear in his refutation of that story. Davis was crystal clear about his feelings regarding domestic violence, and those who commit it. And unlike hypocrites like Cowboy’s owner Jerry Jones, Davis actually had the courage of his convictions — despite the fact that the Raiders desperately need an edge rusher like Hardy.

One would have to assume that given his feelings about domestic violence, Davis would be equally as strict about wanting a known child abuser like Adrian Peterson on his team. And one, who by most accounts, doesn’t seem all that remorseful about his actions.
Yes, the Raiders could use a running back of Peterson’s caliber. And yes, they could certainly afford to fit him in under the cap. But there is no way in Hell that Davis would condone bringing Peterson in when he was so strongly, and publicly, against bringing Hardy in.
Not to mention the fact that giving up the draft picks the Vikings would require to make a deal would likely make the whole issue a non-starter given GM Reggie McKenzie‘s penchant for piling up draft picks.
