5. The Giants Win the 2012 Pennant in the Rain

While the 2010 playoff run was the most exciting and the 2014 playoff run was the most unlikely, the 2012 Giants were the most impressive team during the dynasty. After losing the first two games to the Cincinnati Reds at home in the NLDS, they had to win three games on the road, in which the Cincinnati had been near unstoppable. Through passion, unity, and a magical Pence speech, they became the first team to win a Division Series after trailing 0-2.

The next round brought the 2011 World Champion Cardinals to San Francisco, where they dominated in route to gaining a 3-1 series lead on the Giants until #RallyZito saved the season in Game Five. Vogelsong pitched his second gem of the series in Game Six, setting up a winner-take-all Game Seven in which the Giants would claim their throne.

To make things more majestic, AT&T Park was hit with some showers beginning in the bottom of the eighth inning, and the rain picked up in the ninth. The Giants and their fans decided to soak it all in, even as puddles formed in the infield. NLCS MVP Marco Scutaro was elated at the prospect of playing in his first World Series, and his reaction to the rain was just priceless.
