The Warriors’ wins last week came against the Washington Wizards, Portland Trail Blazers, Memphis Grizzlies, and the Milwaukee Bucks. These impressive wins follow up their sixth consecutive week atop the power rankings.

Can they continue their streak atop the power rankings this week? Let’s start off with ESPN.

Marc Stein of ESPN leads off the group by ranking the Warriors in the number one spot yet again. Stein even wrote about in his introduction that it’s likely that the Warriors would not drop out of the top spot for the rest of the season. Here’s what he said:

"We’ve reached the point that the question has to be asked:How many of Golden State’s final nine games would the Warriors have to lose for ESPN’s NBA Power Rankings committee (of one) to move them out of the No. 1 spot? It’s honestly hard to imagine any circumstance for the rest of the season, barring an unfortunate injury, that would knock the Dubs off their perch with only two more helpings of weekly rankings to go. They’re the NBA’s only 60-win team and just the 13th team all-time to win 60 of their first 73 games.Of those previous 13 teams, in case you’re curious, 10 went on to reach the NBA Finals … with nine of them winning it all."

Stein continued to praise the Warriors’ dominance this season by discussing their elite defense and home record:

"The Warriors are now a ridiculous 40-0 when holding the opposition below 100 points and, if they can sweep their final five home games, will go down as the second-best home team in league history, tying a handful of 39-2 teams behind the Celts’ famed 40-1 mark at Boston Garden in 1985-86."

John Schuhmann of NBA.com also ranked the Warriors as the number one team this week, and he spoke about the importance of Andrew Bogut and the Warriors’ tough road-heavy schedule this week:

"Golden State (60-13)Pace: 100.6 (1) OffRtg: 109.5 (2) DefRtg: 97.4 (1) NetRtg: +12.2 (1)It’s been almost a month since the Warriors lost a game with their starters in uniform, and they’re now 51-7 (a 72-10 pace) in games Andrew Bogut has played. With the West’s No. 1 seed locked up and a five-game lead on the Hawks for home-court advantage throughout the playoffs, it will be interesting to see how they handle this week of tough opponents. This week: @ LAC, vs. PHX, @ DAL, @ SAS"

Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports continued the trend by ranking the Warriors on top of the power rankings again. Spears focused on MVP candidate Stephen Curry when discussing the Warriors this week:

"1. Golden State Warriors (Record: 60-13; last week: 1): Two interesting statistics about Stephen Curry: He is third in the NBA in steals per game (2.1) and 42nd in minutes per game (32.8)."

Lastly, Matt Moore of CBS Sports also selected the Warriors as the top team in the power rankings again. Moore discussed the Warriors’ fantastic record in March and even described them as awesome:

"In March, the Warriors have beaten the Clippers, Mavericks, Hawks, Grizzlies and Blazers, won 14 of 15 and nine straight (and counting) and clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. At this point they’re your friend who kills you as soon as you regenerate in a video game. We get it, you’re awesome."

In the past couple months, several teams have occupied the number two, three, and four spots in the major power rankings. However, the Warriors remain the consistent team in the number one spot. That perfectly displays how dominant they’ve been.

After facing four playoff teams last week, the Warriors face four more playoff teams this week. The Warriors finish off a road trip at the beginning of this week and then start another one later on in the week.

First, the Warriors finish off their four-game road trip on Tuesday against the rival Los Angeles Clippers. The Warriors then come home for one game to face the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, before beginning a three-game road trip on Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks and then the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. The final game of the road trip is next week.

The Warriors face another tough, road-heavy schedule this week. Can they go 4-0 again and stay atop the power rankings? We’ll keep you updated.
