Sunday, March 22nd – Wizards 86 @ Kings 109

For the second time in eight days, Sacramento and Washington met in what the Kings were hoping would be a different outcome. With both Cousins and Gay healthy, the team meshed seamlessly and easily handled the sagging Wizards. The duo combined for 46 points, while Washington’s top scorers (Wall and Pierce) put up just 13 total points in the contest.

"“The shots out there look differently because there is more spacing on the floor and more spacing to drive, not just for me, but for my teammates as well,” said Gay, who started again at power forward. “But at the 4 (power forward) I can be more creative and do more things. This is what basketball is going to, the athletic 4. I think I still have some athletic juice left in my body so I might as well use it.”"

Williams once again found himself on SportsCenter with several high-flying dunks, and the young guards Ben McLemore and Ray McCallum put up solid numbers while contributing in many successful offensive drives and defensive stops. This is the team that we all wish could have shown up more often this year.

Next, the Kings hosted the Philadelphia 76ers to close out an exciting home stand.
