Monday, March 16th – Hawks 110 @ Kings 103

Returning back to the kingdom of cowbells and Cousins, the Kings played competitively with the number one seed in the Eastern Conference. The Hawks controlled the game, but they couldn’t pull away until the last few moments of regulation. Gay missed the game with his knee injury, but it’s hard to blame the loss on his absence, as Atlanta was without injured sharp-shooter Kyle Korver and resting Al Horford.

Cousins had a nice game with 20 points and 13 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to secure a victory. Both squads played good team ball, with four starters and two bench players scoring in double digits. In the end, the better team won, and proved why they are suddenly the hottest topic around the league (outside of the Splash Bros’ range of course).

The Kings fell to 4-10 since replacing coach Ty Corbin with the veteran coach Karl during the All-Star Break, and looked to rebound with a win against the newest team Sacramento hates from LA, the Los Angeles Clippers.
