Yes, yes, we know. The Raiders already tried to negotiate with Gresham once and talks went nowhere. But that was then and this is now.
Gresham remains unsigned, and is finding the free agent market a little tougher than perhaps he’d expected. Which might make this the perfect opportunity for McKenzie to attempt to re-engage Gresham in talks.

Despite having Mychal Rivera on the roster, the Raiders could still use a little more help and depth at the TE position. Gresham’s skill set differs from Rivera’s, but both would likely complement one another. And both would provide some terrific weapons for Carr to utilize.
Details of what the Raiders were offering are unknown at his moment. But McKenzie might be wise to sweeten the deal just a little bit to lure another solid pass catching tight end to Oakland and give Carr some help.
