Why not? The other Splash Brother has put together a fantastic season of his own, and has helped leading MVP candidate Stephen Curry guide the Warriors to 51-13 record and the top seed in the West.

In fact, Thompson has been overshadowed by Curry all season, despite the fact that he scored 52 points in a game, and 37 points in a quarter against the Sacramento Kings which is an NBA record.

Normally performances like these make you a leading candidate for the MVP award, or at least put you into consideration. But Thompson hasn’t received much notice on that front, the most being on the outside looking in of weekly “MVP Ladders.”

But Thompson has become a superstar in his own right, and deserves at least some consideration for the MVP this season award — behind Curry, of course.
