After trading away All-Star third baseman Josh Donaldson, All-Star catcher Derek Norris, All-Star first baseman Brandon Moss in the offseason to go with trading All-Star outfielder Yoenis Cespedes in the past eight months, the Oakland Athletics lineup will be extremely different from last year’s Opening Day lineup.

With 28 players on the 40-man roster entering Spring Training having been acquired via trade by General Manager Billy Beane, the Athletics’ lineup will see a whole new world of options. Not one offensive player that takes the field on Opening Day was drafted by the Athletics, and Bob Melvin will have many different avenues that he can take to produce the most efficient offensive lineups possible.
Only four of the nine projected Opening Day starters were members of the A’s last year. Regardless of Oakland bringing in so many new guys, the A’s will find a way to win like they always do. Without further ado, here is the predicted Opening Day starting lineup for the 2015 Oakland Athletics:
