Pro/Con: Playoff Experience
Playoff experience is both a pro and a con, because Suh has only played in two total postseason games in his career. He played one in 2011 and one last season. In those two games, Suh has posted six tackles and 2.5 sacks. Although these are two more games than most of the Raiders team combined, it’s not enough to teach a team how to win in the playoffs. Two games are enough, however, to teach younger players how to have a playoff mentality.
Suh’s postseason numbers may not seem overly impressive, but based on per game averages, three tackles and one sack is normal for Suh. On average, Suh gets about 3.5 tackles a game and about one sack per game. Having a player who can do that in postseason play is a tremendous asset to a team.
While having a player who can contribute in the postseason is nice, none of it will matter if the team cannot reach the postseason, like the Raiders have been doing for the last 13 seasons. Suh could help the Raiders, turn their franchise around, but as mentioned earlier, his attitude will need adjusting if the Raiders want to be successful after signing him.
