The Phoenix Suns are one of the great stories of the last two years in the NBA. Despite the fact that they lack any marquee players, they are entrenched as the eighth best team in the brutally challenging Western Conference.

They have the third worst defense in the entire league, in terms of points surrendered per game, but their rotational depth at the guard positions allow them to rack up points in bunches. Goran Dragic, Eric Bledsoe, Isaiah Thomas, and Gerald Green would present a defensive challenge in the backcourt for any team.

The Warriors are not just any team though. They boast plenty of guard depth of their own. Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, and Justin Holiday all possess terrific length on the perimeter and are all plus defenders that can neutralize the Suns’ backcourt firepower. This matchup weighs heavily in Golden State’s favor.
