For the past couple seasons, Adam Gase has had the luxury of having Peyton Manning as his signal caller. As a result, teams will be wary of hiring him as a head coach.

It is important to note, however, that during his time in Denver, Manning’s offense has been able to set several all-time NFL offensive records, including points per game, touchdowns per game, and yards per game.

Despite his candidacy being buoyed by Manning, Gase has been able to utilize the skills of his offensive weapons in his schemes and has made stars out of Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas, Eric Decker, Knowshon Moreno, C.J. Anderson, and Emmanuel Sanders. Perhaps he can do the same with the 49ers’ currently dysfunctional offense.
