Shane Ray: Defensive End, Missouri
Shane Ray is projected to be picked third, but he could easily fall to fourth if Cooper is taken in the top three. Ray is described as a great pass rush defender with great quickness and is a high energy player, a player that the Raiders could use to stay motivated and improve greatly given the similarities Ray has to Mack and Moore, linemen who can provide energy, pressure the quarterback, get sacks and defend the pass rush.
In 2014, Ray had 61 tackles and 14 sacks as a starter this year. Last season in 2013, Ray accumulated 39 tackles, 4.5 sacks, nine tackles for losses, 11 quarterback pressures and forced two fumbles, as a substitute linebacker. His 11 quarterback pressures were the second most on the Missouri Tigers team that year, and he received the 2013 Spring Most Improved Defensive Lineman Award.
