Denorfia should be very a familiar name to Giants’ fan, as he spent five seasons in the National League West with the San Diego Padres. Similar to Hairston, he is a Giant-killer. Over his career, Denorfia is a .328 hitter against San Francisco, including a .323 clip at AT&T Park.

The right-handed hitter won’t light up the stats sheet offensively. He’s a career .272 hitter with 38 home runs. What the Giants will get from him is non-stop hustle and maximum effort every time he sees the field. He plays great defense, and will very rarely be caught out of position.

Denorfia can play all three outfield positions, which could come in handy if Angel Pagan continues to struggle with injuries next season. He’s played at least 150 games at each spot in the outfield, and can start anywhere in a pinch.

2014 was a bit of a down year for the 34 year-old. In 121 games, he hit .230 with three home runs and 21 RBI’s. The Giants could swipe him up for a cheap contract if things come down to the wire in left field.
