The 2014 season is over, and the San Francisco Giants are World Series champions for the third time in five seasons. The Giants persevered through prolonged slumps, six different second basemen, and too many injuries to count to earn the title of “Dynasty.”

Now, the Giants face a new kind of challenge. Heading into the offseason, Brian Sabean and his front office will take on the challenge of filling the holes that the team currently has. Third base and left field are both open, but the Giants are working hard to re-sign their incumbents.

Pitcher is another area of concern, as both the starting rotation and bullpen have open spots that need to be filled.

While every team has a wish list, the Giants’ list is a little shorter than many teams. But those needs are ones that must be met if the Giants are going to remain in contention in the National League.
