Wishful Thinking
Darrelle Revis: The former best corner in the league will be once again searching for a new deal. It seems like every year Revis is looking for a new deal, and he should receive his last big contract with a new team in 2015. The New England Patriots never pay big money to free agents, due to the fact they trust head coach Bill Belichick to find players in the draft or free agency for the cheap and coach them up to play in his system, so don’t expect Revis to be back with the Patriots after this year. This leaves an opportunity for another team to come in and swoop him up.
Realistic Target(s)
Brandon Flowers: Flowers, who was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs and signed with the San Diego Chargers, is a solid corner who would be better at the position than Tarrell Brown and Carlos Rogers. Flowers made the Pro Bowl just last season, so he has the talent and the skills to be a solid corner for the Raiders. He would also be able to stay in the AFC West and stick it to the team who cut him twice a year.
Perrish Cox: The current San Francisco 49er is playing great in the spot of his injured teammate Chris Culliver. Cox could be the number two corner for the Raiders, while moving D.J. Hayden to nickel to keep him fresh for the 2015 season. Cox being a Raider in 2015 increases if his current head coach Jim Harbaugh decides to move across the Bay Area and coach the silver and black.
