Wishful Thinking
Dez Bryant: Bryant would be the number one receiver the Raiders desperately, and I mean desperately, need. Bryant is a top-five receiver in this league, and adding him to any roster is an upgrade. Bryant will be looking for a huge contract, and the Raiders would be estimated to have at least $30 million in cap space. If the Dallas Cowboys don’t pony up a contract during the season, Bryant could see himself playing for a new team.
Realistic Target
Hakeem Nicks: Nicks will be coming off his one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts and will be a wide receiver the Raiders can get. If Nicks can stay healthy for the remainder of the year, he can easily come in and help Rod Streater and James Jones at the receiver position. Nicks would be excellent in the red zone with his height advantage. Nicks’ only problem is health issues. Other than that, he’s an automatic starter for the Raiders, if signed.
