Sep 16, 2013; Vancouver, British Columbia, CAN; Vancouver Canucks defenseman Frank Corrado (26) tries to stop San Jose Sharks forward Freddie Hamilton (75) from advancing during the second period at Rogers Arena. Mandatory Credit: Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

#50 Chris Tierney

#67 Travis Oleksuk

#68 Melker Karlsson

#71 Daniil Tarasov

#75 Freddie Hamilton

#76 Eriah Hayes

These guys are the young men that will be called up when Thornton gets sick or if Desjardins breaks his jaw (Knock on wood). They will be developing their skills elsewhere, either in the AHL (Oleksuk, Tarasov, Hamilton, Hayes), in the OHL (Tierney), or even overseas in Sweden (Karlsson). Other guys throughout the list of prospects will emerge throughout the year, but these are the six guys that I have penciled in to replace any injured or under performing Sharks when the time comes.
