Shooting Guard

At shooting guard is the second “Splash Brother”, Klay Thompson, who rounds out what could very well go down as the best shooting backcourt in NBA history. Thompson is also coming off a season in which he posted a career high in points (18.4), while also nailing 223 three-pointers (finishing second in the NBA behind Curry’s 261).

He has also only missed one game in his first three seasons, and the one game he missed was due to a funeral within the family. His mix of great outside shooting, gritty defense, and durability lock him into the starting role for the 2014-2015 season.

The backup shooting guard, Brandon Rush, is also a new addition to the team this season, but is a former member of the Warriors. In Rush’s one full season (2011-2012) for the Warriors he averaged 9.8 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game in 26 minutes off the bench. The scoring boost Rush adds will be huge for Golden State this season.

STARTER: Klay Thompson
