The Giants’ offense got off to a blistering start, with new acquisition Michael Morse leading the way, while other players struggled out of the gate. Morse gathered 38 RBI and 11 HR through May, and it looked like he was set up for a tremendous bounce back season. The calendar flipped to June, and he has provided just 8 RBI since. On the bright side, the Giants face-off against the Marlins to start the second half, and Morse hit .467 against them in their series in San Francisco.

Pablo Sandoval is the exact opposite. He started the season batting below the Mendoza Line for nearly a month, but in May he provided 6 HR and 19 RBI while batting a more Panda-esque .318.

Buster Posey has been a little sporadic this season with his output, and Hunter Pence is doing a great job of setting the table for the middle of the order. Pence has a .355 OBP, and has scored 67 times.

Looking ahead: If the Giants can get some good news on the Angel Pagan front, the offense should almost immediately start clicking once more. The Giants currently rank 23rd in MLB in runs scored, and 10th in the NL with 371.
