Campaneris was voted into his second straight All-Star Game and hit a career-high .290 in the process.

He heated up after the All-Star break, hitting .314/.344/.372 in 44 games (he missed 15 games to an injury in late July and early August).

Campaneris was fifth in the AL among position players with a 5.3 WAR and 10th with both a 4.6 Offensive WAR and 1.8 Defensive WAR. Among conventional statistics, he was third in the league with eight triples, fourth with 34 stolen bases and seventh with 11 sacrifice hits.

He didn’t have a great ALCS against Baltimore, going 3-for-17 with three RBI and a steal in Oakland’s 3-1 series win, but against the Dodgers in the World Series, Campaneris was 6-for-17 with two doubles, two RBI and a stolen base as the A’s captured their third straight World Series title.
