Caudill came over from Seattle the previous November along with pitcher Darrel Akerfelds for reliever Dave Beard and catcher Bob Kearney before being traded to the Blue Jays in December for outfielder Dave Collins, shortstop Alfredo Griffin and cash. In between, Caudill turned in his only All-Star season.
He was second in the American League with 36 saves and fifth with 68 appearances.
Caudill converted 36 of 44 save opportunities and allowed 20 of 70 inherited runners to score, posting a 1.967 Average Leverage Index (ALI, 1.0 is considered average).
