Haller earned his second consecutive All-Star berth in his final season as a Giant, as he was traded in February 1968 to the Dodgers along with Franki Kasheta for Ron Hunt and Nate Oliver.
He was fourth among NL catchers, throwing out 33 attempted base stealers, and he was second with a .997 fielding percentage.
Offensively at the position, Haller led all NL catchers with five triples, was tied for second with 14 home runs and third with 23 doubles, a .415 slugging percentage and a .759 OPS.
