Posey earned his second straight All-Star berth and garnered some support in the MVP race even as the Giants backslid after winning the World Series title.
He was ninth in the National League with a 4.9 Offensive WAR. He was also fifth with seven sacrifice flies and ninth with eight intentional walks. Defensively, he was fifth among NL catchers with 27 runners caught stealing.
