The Giants and the A’s are two of the best teams in baseball, and it’s obvious why, given their standing in some of the most important statistical categories. When discussing how the Giants are playing right now, Bochy explained it best when he told Alex Pavlovic of the Bay Area News Group, “There’s nothing I can complain about.”

The Giants are certainly making their case for why they could be heading to their third World Series since 2010, but they have to finish out the season strong. Crawford shared this sentiment with Pavlovic as well.

"“We come to the field every day thinking we’re going to win,” Crawford said. “It’s still early, but if we continue to keep up the way we’re playing, we have a good chance for the postseason.”"

The Giants are showing why they’re a legitimate title contender this year, and the A’s are making a case too. Are they on a collision course to meet up and play in a Bay Area World Series? It’s possible. This A’s team hasn’t proven yet that they can make it that far, but the Giants have.

The Giants missed the playoffs in 2011 and 2013, but they’ve proven they can go the distance and win a World Series title. We’ll see if these two teams have what it takes to continue this success and face each other in the World Series.
