Very few players are hated just as much as they are loved. Colin Kaepernick is in this elite group of love/hate players. Kaepernick was taken in the second round of the 2011 draft, and was the sixth QB picked. He took over the starting job in the middle of the 2012 season and never looked back. He led the 49ers to the Super Bowl and NFC Championship Game in his first year and a half of starting. Franchise quarterbacks are extremely hard to find, and the 49ers might have found theirs in the second round of the draft. If Kaepernick can reach his ceiling, then he could be called the best 49ers’ draft pick in a long time.
