After three rounds, the 49ers finally drafted a CB. They also returned slot receiver and future return man, Bruce Ellington. Johnson is a tall, long corner that everyone in the league seems to covet these days. After seeing the success their division rivals, the Seattle Seahawks, have had with tall corners, it was no surprise to see the 49ers draft the 6’2, 200 lbs corner. Ellington is a small shifty receiver that can also return kicks. With LaMichael James most likely on his way out, the 49ers drafted his replacement.
