This is a great pick by Baalke and co. With Jonathan Goodwin out of the picture, the 49ers had some question marks at center. Daniel Kilgore is thought to have the inside track to the starting role, but he just got a whole lot of competition. Martin was the best center in the draft, and the 49ers were able to snag him in the third round. No matter who wins the competition at center, the 49ers have two pretty good options to anchor the middle of their offensive line for a long time.
