Torres was the non-regular regular in the Giants outfield as they surged to a World Series title in 2010, providing speed and surprising pop with career highs of 43 doubles, 16 homers and 26 stolen bases. He was fourth in the National League with 43 doubles, seventh with eight triples and 10th with 67 extra base hits. Defensively, he topped NL outfielders with a .997 fielding percentage. Torres was off the charts in July, hitting .317/.383/.644 with seven home runs, 11 doubles, 23 runs and 20 RBI in 26 games. The seven homers were more than he had hit in a season to that point in his career. He was 2-for-16 with a stolen base against Atlanta in the NLDS, 7-for-20 with two runs against the Phillies in the NLCS and 7-for-22 with four runs, four doubles, a home run, three RBI and a steal against Texas in the World Series.
