STARTS: 86 in LF, 61 at 1B GAMES: 91 in LF, 63 at 1B Cepeda earned his third and fourth All-Star Game appearances despite being a man without a full-time position. He was fourth in the National League with an 18.5 Power-Speed number and eighth in the National League with a 133 OPS-plus and 95 Runs Created. Defensively, he led NL left fielders with a 1.89 Range Factor per game. Cepeda was second in the NL with 36 doubles and eight hit by pitches; sixth with 96 RBI and a 71.43 stolen base percentage (15-for-21); seventh with 169 hits and 283 total bases; eighth with a .497 slugging percentage, .840 OPS, 24 homers, 91 strikeouts and 63 extra base hits; ninth with a .297 batting average and 15 stolen bases; and 10th with nine intentional walks. Defensively, he led NL left fielders with three double plays. He had six home runs each in May and June and hit .361/.392/.525 in 31 games in August, primarily batting fifth, where he made 117 starts.
