STARTS: 59 in RF, 41 in CF, 3 in LF, 3 at 1B GAMES: 94 in RF, 46 in CF, 5 in LF, 3 at 1B Javier got regular playing time without having a regular place defensively as the Giants won the NL West for the first time in eight years. He was second in the National League with a 89.29 stolen base percentage (25-for-28). Javier cooled off in the second half after hitting .311/.392/.464 with 36 runs, 11 doubles, three triples, five home runs and 22 RBI to go with 10 steals in 73 games prior to the All-Star break. But he got his bat going again in the final month, hitting .310/.351/.394 in 22 games as San Francisco held off the Dodgers down the stretch. His best month was June, when he hit .367/.437/.644 with five of his eight home runs on the season. He was 5-for-12 with two runs, a double, an RBI and a stolen base as the Giants were swept by Florida in the NLDS.
