Jason Avant (6-feet, 212) could be the perfect compliment for the 49ers’ receiving corps. He is a reliable receiver that has great hands and comes through when you need him. He could turn into a good safety blanket for Colin Kaepernick when everyone else is covered. He isn’t much of a scoring threat, but the 49ers wouldn’t need him to be. They would just need him to help extend drives and help Kaepernick develop.
