Trent Edwards
Edwards, 30, is a bit of a wild card. The former Stanford quarterback has 33 NFL starts but hasn’t appeared in a game since 2012 with the Eagles. He was a third-round pick by the Bills in 2007 and wound up displacing J.T. Losman as Buffalo’s starter as a rookie, leading the Bills to a 5-4 record in his nine starts that season.
It’s not a particularly inspiring list, though Schaub had some great years in Houston. Freeman has turned off two franchises in less than a year. Sanchez is turnover-prone with accuracy issues (never a good combination) and Vick has stayed healthy enough to play 16 games just once in his career, and that was in 2006.
