NFL Rumors: Oakland Raiders Bring In Trio Of Free Agents For Visits

According to a report, three free agents from the defensive side of the ball will be visiting the Oakland Raiders on Wednesday. New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck and cornerback Terrell Thomas are expected along with Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, via Twitter:

The 30-year-old Tuck had a solid bounce-back year for the Giants in 2013, recording 11 sacks after having just nine the previous two seasons combined. Tuck also had an interception, forced two fumbles, defensed three passes and was in on 63 tackles.

Tuck is a two-time Pro Bowler who was an All-Pro selection for the Giants in 2008, when he recorded a career-high 12 sacks. He was a third-round pick by the Giants out of Notre Dame in 2005 and was part of two Super Bowl winning teams in New York. He has 60.5 career sacks in nine NFL seasons.

Thomas, 29, came back to play all 16 games for the Giants last season, starting seven, after missing all of the 2011 and 2012 season with separate ACL injuries. He had one interception, a forced fumble, a sack, seven passes defensed and 67 tackles.

Thomas was chosen in the second-round by the Giants in 2008 out of USC and has 12 career interceptions. He had five picks each in 2009 and 2010, when he started all 32 regular-season games for the Giants.

Injuries limited Woodley to 11 games for the Steelers last season. He had five sacks, one pass defensed, one forced fumble and 36 tackles. The 29-year-old was a Pro Bowler for Pittsburgh in 2009, when he had a career-best 13.5 sacks. In seven NFL seasons, Woodley had 57 sacks and five interceptions.

He was a second-round pick by the Steelers out of Michigan in 2007.
