The main reason why Boston ranks so high on this list is because it has 73 wins and continues to lead what is arguably the most competitive division in baseball. Their batting has been the best in the game too. The Red Sox have scored the most runs of any team in Major League Baseball, they have the highest on-base percentage, and they have the second best batting average.

If you’re a Red Sox fan, be concerned about pitching since the team ranks 16th in ERA and 17th in BAA. Also be concerned that the Red Sox have lost 13 games since the All-Star Break and are 4-6 in their last ten games. Be concerned, but Boston has found a way to stay on top for almost the entire season thus far, and there’s something to be said for that. It’s also likely it will continue to stay on top.
