7) Tampa Bay Rays

Tampa Bay came out of the All-Star Break relatively hot. This was a team that once found itself near the bottom of the very competitive AL Eat division, but the Rays have played their way to be in a close second to the Boston Red Sox. They are only 1.5 games behind first place and have 70 wins. The big problem for Tampa Bay is that the team shows potential signs of cooling off. They dropped two in a row against Arizona and immediately got swept by the L.A. Dodgers. It does, however, appear that streak has ended; the Rays have won their last two series. There is other good news for Tampa Bay. It appears Matt Moore will come off the DL next weekend. Moore has a record of 14-3.

Even though things are looking good for Tampa Bay moving forward, with a record of 4-6 in their last 10 games, I couldn’t rank the Rays higher on the list.
