I think the L.A. Dodgers are the hottest team in baseball right now. This may surprise some, and others may disagree, but there are good reasons for the Dodgers to be in the number one spot. First of all, this is a team that found itself in last place in the NL West earlier this season. They have struggled with injury but are either getting players healthy again or have filled the positions of those on the DL.

Also, the Dodgers have only lost four games since the All-Star Break; they lost their fourth game to Philadelphia earlier today. They have the best post-All-Star record of any team in baseball. And unlike Atlanta, who only won a hard series against St. Louis, the Dodgers have won series against St. Louis, Cincinnati  and Tampa Bay—all teams on this list. The big question will be whether or not LA can keep this up, but the Dodgers have shown that right now they can, and will, beat anybody.
