Joe Lacob recently said that the Warriors technically have six starters on their team with Curry, Thompson, Barnes, Iguodala, David Lee, and Bogut. This is certainly a good problem to have, and the Warriors are set on being successful with this core.
“I think we’ve got a lot of the components to be really successful as a team. I think we’re better than last year is all I’ll say,” Lacob said. “Now we’ve got to prove it on the court, whether it’s get to the Western Conference finals or whatever; time will tell and we’ll have to perform on the court and make it happen.”
The culture around the Golden State Warriors has changed. The Warriors will be a better team this upcoming year because of their playoff experience, the addition of Iguodala, a stronger bench, their defense, and their young core. They aren’t quite at championship contenders yet, but if Curry and Bogut can stay healthy this upcoming season, they will certainly contend to be one of the top-four teams in the Western Conference.
