San Francisco Giants: 4 Big Questions Facing GM Brian Sabean At The Trade Deadline

Has this first-half ending series against San Diego altered the course Sabean and the rest of the front office may have been leaning toward?
It’s a definite possibility.

Fresh off a terrible skid that culminated in a three game losing sweep at the hands of the Mets, the general tone seemed to be that San Francisco would be sellers by the trade deadline.
But just when all the analysts – and much of the team’s fanbase – started to count them out, they went into San Diego and cleaned house.
They looked the best they have all year, pitching, fielding, and hitting included.
If they can look anything like they did over the weekend when the second half resumes this coming Friday, the club has a good chance of getting right back in the race.
Its still too early to guess as to what Sabean’s intentions might be, but history tells us he’ll most likely make a solid, under-the-radar type move, and maybe even a substantial one if he believes the club can keep going up from here on out.
