Cano’s batting average of .325 is good (ninth in the AL) and above his career average of .309. He’s in the top five for slugging percentage (.613) and sixth in OPS (.978). What makes these stats, and his eight home runs, impressive is that he started out the first six games with no RBI and only one home run.
