# 4 – Momentum On Giants’ Side

It was a magnificent pitching duel between Clayton Kershaw and Barry Zito on Friday night, but only one team would emerge victorious. And that team was San Francisco, who finally cracked the dominating lefty Kershaw to break a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the 9th inning via the long ball, compliments of Buster Posey, and grabbed the 2-1 walk-off victory.  Sending everybody besides L.A. home happy, the Giants now have a strong 1-0 series lead, with the momentum fully on their side.

Now tied with Colorado for first place in the NL.West and riding a four game winning streak – which includes a series sweep of Arizona on the road – the team is primed to keep the wins coming, and give Cain that elusive first win of the season.
